The Attorney General Hon. Githu Muigai today inaugurated the National Anti-Corruption Campaign Steering Committee which was recently reconstituted and members appointed by H.E the President vide Kenya Gazette Notice No 6707 of 19th September, 2014. Their mandate remains to undertake a nationwide public education, sensitization and awareness creation campaign aimed at effecting fundamental changes in the attitudes, behaviour, practices and culture of Kenyans towards corruption.

Members include the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation Managing Director, and Principal Secretaries from National Treasury; Ministry of Devolution and Planning; plus Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology. Other Members represent the Maendeleo ya Wanawake Organization, National Youth Council, Religious Organizations and Persons living with Disabilities. During the meeting, the Attorney General challenged the members to develop innovative campaign strategies and programmes, practical enough to inspire and mobilize Kenyans into a mass movement against corruption.
