National Anti-Corruption Campaign Steering committee has partnered with Vihiga County Government in the fight against Corruption. Speaking to the public after a courtesy call on governor Moses Akaranga in his office today, NACCSC chairman Dr Eliud Wabukala pointed out that the public should act the watch dogs of public resources at county level. He pointed out that to win the war on corruption, collaboration of all sectors is needed.


Dr Akaranga sounded a warning to all contractors noting that public evaluation of work done will be carried out before any payments are made. this will be done through social audits undertaken by Anti-corruption Civilian Oversight Committee.

NACCSC in collaboration with the county government will establish County Anti-Corruption Civilian Oversight Committee consisting of locals to educate the public on the ills of corruption and the role of the general public in the fight.

Such committees have been have been established in 19 Counties and are playing a big role since the public can easily identify with them.
