Nakuru County Governor, H. E. Mr Kinuthia Mbugua today challenged women to be in the forefront of fighting corruption as they play a crucial role in the development agenda of their communities.

Speaking during the third day of the Maendeleo ya Wanawake Organisation leadership capacity building workshop for members from Rift Valley region at a Nakuru hotel, the Governor said women play an instrumental role in inculcating the right values in their families. He called on them to demand for accountability and transparency from their leaders at the grassroots level to ensure a Country free of corruption.
Flanked by the Deputy Governor H.E Joseph Ruto, the Governor thanked the National Anti-Corruption Campaign Steering Committee for the capacity building workshops which have seen women from 20 Counties being equipped with skills to fight corruption in their areas.
