The Kakamega County Public Service Board Chairperson Ms Rhoda Masaviru has lauded the empowerment of women by NACCSC to fight corruption. Speaking during the official opening of the capacity building workshop for Maendeleo ya Wanawake Organisation leaders from Western & Nyanza Region, Ms Masaviru said the fight against corruption in Kenya can only be won through concerted efforts by all citizens. She urged the women leaders to be of good morals and upstanding integrity to act as role models to future generations.

During the official opening of the three-day workshop at Kakamega Golf Hotel, the Personal Assistant to the Regional Commissioner Mr George Otieno also stressed the importance of involving women at the grassroots level in the fight against corruption.
He challenged NACCSC to sensitize more groups so as to reach all sectors of society. He was later handed some IEC materials to brand him as an anti-corruption crusader in the region
