Kilifi County 
1)Barani Secondary School Administration Block 
Introduction 
The Barani Secondary School is located in Malindi, Kilifi County. It was funded by the County Government of Kilifi at a total of Kshs 3,500,000 .00 in the financial year 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. The project was a high priority for provision of enough classrooms for the learners. 

b)    Citizen Engagement 
The CACCOC members undertook a social audit to educate a total of 800 beneficiaries that attended on project cycle and, the corruption prone areas, preventive measures and actions to mitigate. 

c)    Results 
Based on the education, the beneficiaries of the project recommended that the financier who was the Constituency Development Fund manager be contacted to follow up on the revival of the project, they then recalled the contractor to complete the works. The school Project Management Committee went ahead and implemented the recommendations in the social audit that resulted to contacting the area MP then who was Hon. Aisha Jumwa Karisa where they discussed the revival of the project. The project was completed to the satisfaction of the stakeholders and building handed over to the school. 

2) Kitsamini ECDE Social Audit 
The Kitsamini ECDE is located in Mariakani ward, Kaloleni sub-county in Kilifi County. It was funded by the County Government of Kilifi at a total of Kshs 3,500,000 .00 in the financial year 2017 to 2019. The project was a high priority to ensure that learners don’t cover long distances to access a school.  

The Kilifi CACCOC did a sensitization of the public in February 2023 at Shangia in Mariakani. In the sensitization, they educated 242 participants who attended the baraza on corruption and the project cycle.  
 
Result 
Based on the sensitization, the people decided to: 
list all the stalled project in the area follow up to determine the causes of the project failure monitor the implementation of public projects in their area.
