Bungoma County - Chemondi-Kimama Footbridge 

a)    Introduction 
Chemondi - Kimama Project is located in Cheptais Ward, Mt. Elgon Sub-County in Bungoma County. The project is located across river Malakisi at its shortest breath. The project was funded by the Ministry of Works at a total cost of KShs. 8,000,000.00, in the financial year 2013/2014.  
The implementer did not involve he beneficiaries during identification, prioritization, implementation and evaluation of the project. As a result, the footbridge is incomplete and therefore not serving the intended purpose. 

b)    Citizen Engagement 
The Bungoma County Anti-Corruption Civilian Oversight Committee (CACCOCs) undertook a social audit and public reporting forum with the beneficiaries of the project. A total of () beneficiaries attended and were sensitized on the six stages in the project cycle and corruption, corrupt practices prone areas at each stage of the cycle and preventive measures.
